Private jet charter
and aircraft types

We read your request against route, passenger count and time constraints; we identify the right aircraft category, screen operators and put comparable quotes in front of you.

Private jet charter

The operator flies the aircraft,
we manage the process

In private jet charter the real work is not finding an aircraft, but matching the right aircraft with the right terms.

Five different quotes come back for the same route; the difference between them is usually the age of the aircraft, the experience of the crew, the insurance limit and the positioning cost. We explain that difference in writing.

We are not tied to any manufacturer or operator. We have no obligation to favour a particular fleet; the requirement of the route determines the choice.

This catalogue is not a fleet declaration

Gazali Aviation is not an aircraft operator and has no fleet of its own. The types above show the aircraft we can source through our international operator network. Whether a given type is available on the date and route you request becomes clear at the quotation stage, with operator confirmation.

Selection criteria

What we look at
when choosing the right category

Moving up a category is not always the right decision. The five items below are what we check, in order, while preparing a quote.

  • Route distance and fuel stops. An aircraft whose range is marginal will make an intermediate stop; the saving on the aircraft is given back in lost time.
  • Runway length and airport limitations. If the destination is a small airport, a smaller aircraft that can land closer shortens the total travel time.
  • Passenger count and baggage volume. Even when the seat count is sufficient, the baggage hold may not be; ski, hunting or production equipment is calculated separately.
  • Positioning cost. The empty flight between where the aircraft is located and the departure airport makes up a significant part of the price.
  • Time constraints and permits. On some routes, slot, customs and flight permit lead times are more decisive than the choice of aircraft.
Scope

Flight types and
special requests

Not every flight requires the same preparation. A corporate trip and a diplomatic delegation flight mean a different operator, different equipment and a different permit process.

Corporate and VIP flights

Executive travel, investor visits and business itineraries with multiple stops. A flight plan built around the meeting schedule, with waiting time and flexibility on the return.

Short-notice urgent flights

Requests that need departure the same day or within a few hours. We present the fastest workable option, based on aircraft availability, slots and permit status.

Official delegation and diplomatic flights

Protocol requirements, special permit coordination and flight requests from public institutions. Country permits along the route are tracked separately.

Group flights

Sports clubs, production crews, congress and event movements. Depending on the passenger count, an airliner is allocated or several jets are planned.

Air ambulance coordination

A medically equipped cabin, the medical team and the hospital transfer planned together. Medical decisions and in-flight care remain the responsibility of the medical team.

Special mission operations

Sourcing of firefighting aircraft, cargo flights and operator research for mission flights outside standard schedules.

Cost

How an empty leg
is assessed

What is an empty leg?

It is a positioning flight an aircraft makes without passengers. If your dates are flexible, you can use the same aircraft on markedly better terms.

Empty leg opportunities depend on the operator's schedule and usually appear shortly before departure. The route, the time and the aircraft category are set not by you, but by the movement the aircraft is already making.

For that reason an empty leg is not a suitable solution for every request. If you have a fixed meeting time or the route is precisely defined, a standard charter is the safer choice. When we receive your request we show both options with their prices and explain where the difference comes from.

  • Flexibility on date and time is required; the schedule is shaped by the operator's movement
  • If the operator's plan changes the flight may be cancelled; an alternative is kept on standby
  • The departure and arrival airports usually cannot be changed
  • If no suitable empty leg comes up, the standard charter option remains available
Helicopter

Helicopter transfers and
connecting movements

The journey often continues where the jet flight ends. We build the connection between the airport and the final destination by helicopter.

City transfers, island-to-island crossings and regional movements that take hours by road come down to minutes by helicopter. When planned within the same request as the jet flight, the landing time and the helicopter departure are aligned with each other.

Helicopter operations are more sensitive to weather than jet flights. For that reason every transfer plan also defines a road alternative, which is confirmed before the flight.

  • VIP city and airport connection transfers
  • Island-to-island and coastal region crossings
  • Regional operations and site visits
  • A single programme combined with the jet flight and a single point of contact
Safety

Confidentiality and safety
come before price

On every charter request we review the operating certificate of the operator we propose, the registration of the aircraft, the insurance cover and the safety record.

We do not automatically put the lowest quote forward; we show where the difference comes from as separate line items in the quote.

Passenger details, the route and the flight schedule are shared only with the parties needed for the flight to take place. At the request stage, operators are given the technical requirement of the flight, not the identity of the passengers.

Legal framework

Gazali Aviation is not an aircraft operator and holds no AOC. All flights are performed under the operating certificate of the relevant operator and under that operator's responsibility. Our role is limited to process management and consultancy.

  • Operating certificate (AOC) and validity check
  • Aircraft registration, age and maintenance status
  • Written confirmation of insurance limits
  • Crew experience and type rating
  • Passenger identity not shared at the request stage
  • Itemised cost lines in the quote
Process

From request to departure
four steps

A standard charter request proceeds in this order. For short-notice urgent flights the steps are the same; only the timescales shorten.

01

Defining the request

Departure, arrival, date, passenger count and any special requirements are taken. Permit and slot constraints along the route are checked at this first stage.

02

Operator screening

Available aircraft in the right category are screened; certificate, insurance and safety record are reviewed.

03

Quote comparison

Options are presented with aircraft type, registration, total journey time and itemised cost lines. The reason for the price difference is explained in writing.

04

Flight coordination

The contract, ground handling, customs and cabin requests are planned with the operator and followed through a single point of contact until departure.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions we meet most often in charter requests, with short answers.

How is the price of a private jet charter determined?

The price is not a single item. Flight time and aircraft category are the base components; on top of them come the positioning flight from where the aircraft is located to the departure airport, airport and ground handling fees, crew accommodation, waiting time and, where applicable, overnight parking. We show these items separately in the quote.

How far in advance should I send my request?

For comfortable planning, 48 – 72 hours is enough. For short-notice urgent flights, same-day departure is possible on most routes; the deciding factor is not aircraft availability but slot and flight permit lead times. On routes requiring diplomatic clearance the time may be longer.

Can an empty leg flight be used for every request?

No. An empty leg is a positioning flight the aircraft is already making; its route, time and aircraft category are fixed in advance. If your dates are flexible it gives a clear cost advantage, but it carries a cancellation risk if the operator's plan changes. For trips with a fixed schedule a standard charter is recommended.

Lease or buy?

The decision depends on your annual flight hours. For organisations with a regular, predictable flight programme, a long-term lease gives continuous access to an aircraft; in the wet lease and ACMI model, maintenance, hangar, crew and registration obligations also stay with the lessor. Once flight hours pass a certain threshold, purchase starts to be worth assessing; we compare both scenarios using your own data.

Do you operate the aircraft yourselves?

No. Gazali Aviation is not an aircraft operator and holds no AOC. The flight takes place under the operating certificate of the selected operator and under that operator's responsibility. The part we carry out is operator selection, quote comparison and flight coordination.

How are cabin requests and baggage planned?

Catering, a special cabin layout, pet carriage and unusual baggage (sports equipment, musical instruments, production cases) vary by operator and aircraft type. When these requests are stated at the quotation stage they are built into the aircraft selection; requests added later may require a change of aircraft.
